Baldwin County VOAD is not a competing or exclusionary organization. Baldwin County VOAD is intended to be a network for organizations active in disaster.
Each Baldwin County VOAD member organization will maintain its own identity and independence while closely collaborating with other Baldwin County VOAD member organizations, interfaiths, and local, state, or federal authorities.
Since 1918, the Alabama Gulf Coast Chapter has been upholding the American Red Cross mission of providing relief to victims of disaster and helping people prevent, prepare for, and respond to emergencies in Mobile, Baldwin, Clarke, Monroe, and West Escambia Counties. The American Red Cross is a volunteer organization supported by the donations of the people in our community.

Statement of Identification: Baldwin Baptist Association is made up of 61 Southern Baptist churches in Baldwin County, AL. These churches are autonomous bodies that have chosen to cooperate in God’s work. They support the association with their financial contributions and involvement in local ministries.

The Baldwin Council on Aging is the leading advocate, relative to all aging issues, on behalf of all older persons in the planning and service area. The Council on Aging serves as the resource for information, training, technical assistance, advocacy and leadership for the elderly. The Department of Human Resources was created in 1935 to administer to the assistance programs that were part of the Social Security Act. These programs were developed to help an American public that was suffering through the financial hardships of the Great Depression. The agency's original name was the Department of Public Welfare. In 1955, it was renamed the Department of Pensions and Security. The current name was adopted in 1986. Some programs have changed over the years to meet the changing needs of Alabama. However, the agency's primary goal has always been and always will be to help people in need.

The purpose of the Baldwin County Health Department is to provide caring, high quality, and professional services for the improvement and protection of the public’s health. By working closely with the community, the Baldwin County Health Department strives to serve the people of Baldwin County by assuring conditions in which they can be healthy.
Baldwin County Mental Health Center is accredited as a comprehensive community mental health center by the Alabama Department of Mental Health and Mental Retardation to serve adults and children in Baldwin County whose lives are impaired by serious emotional disturbance, serious mental illness and/or substance abuse.

We currently provide low cost medical, dental, and counseling services to our community through the ministry of our Hope Center. Habitat for Humanity of Baldwin County is an ecumenical ministry whose mission is to eliminate poverty housing and homelessness in Baldwin County. We partner with local families who are currently living in unsafe or inadequate housing and work together with the family and volunteers to build a new simple, energy-efficient home. After participating in building, and budgeting and home ownership classes, the families are ready to purchase their home from Habitat for a zero percent interest mortgage.
